Letter dated in Edimburgh on September 15th, 1803 and addressed to Coloner Fraser of the Volunteer Infantry, from Frederick, Commander in Chief. The letter refers to Archibald Campbell Fraser of Lovat, (1736-1815), British consul at Tripoli and Algiers, and later colonel of the 1st Inverness local militia, and too the Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany KG GMB GCH (1763-1827), was the second son and child of King George III of the United Kingdom and a member of the House of Hanover, who was the Commander in Chief from 1795 to 1809.
