  • Announcement that Archibald Campbell Fraser of Lovat, (1736–1815) colonel 1st Inverness local militia, has discovered some mischief in the use of weights and measures in the sale of meal and grain in Aird MacShimie. The Aird is an area of the County of Inverness, and MacShimie is the name of a Scottish clan or family that live in the area. It also announced the use of standard measures at the Meal House at Beaufort and at the Beaulie Store House.
