- Title:
- J. Michael Laidlaw - "A New Spirit for the Exiles" (May 29, 1983)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 33:41. Sermon end time: (Part 2) 9:30.
By taking a journey of imagination into the longings and questions Ezekiel must have had in the valley of dry bones, this sermon clings to the promise that God is a sustainer who can bring new life even in the midst of dangerous situations; the sermon invites the hearers to see God's sustaining power at work in their own time, in a world threatened by nuclear war and division, and to see the sacrament of baptism as God's promise not to give up on dry bones but to keep blessing and sustaining us.
