- Title:
- William H. Willimon - "Sheep and Shepherds" (April 28, 1985)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 29:24. Sermon end time: (Part 1) 45:12.
Making an analogy between “demonic power of human herd” and “flock of sheep”, which are all uniformly witless, dirty, dumb, and cowardly, the preacher argues that though human beings are unworthy of the price of his life, Jesus, the good shepherd, made his way to us and died for us out of love. This sermon reminds us of the reality of human status as well as God’s sacrificial love. (Abstract created by Duke Divinity School staff.)
