- Title:
- William H. Willimon - "Two Sermons in Stone" (June 2, 1985)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 38:57. Sermon end time: (Part 2) 16:10.
Reflecting on the stories of two cathedrals, one that was destroyed in the war and later rebuilt, and the other that escaped a physical bombardment and was saved, the preacher argues that thanks should be given to God under all circumstances, whether they be the circumstances of deliverance or of suffering and pain. He particularly reassures the congregation that God has something beautiful to create from the ashes as a sign of God’s unceasing love. (Abstract created by Duke Divinity School staff.)
