- Title:
- William H. Willimon - "Is This All There Is?" (April 27, 1986)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 32:25. Sermon end time: (Part 2) 2:40.
The preacher invites his audience to ponder whether transient happiness or unpredictable sufferings are all there is in life. If so, people should seize every moment to enjoy themselves. But the book of Revelation tells us that the world will end and there will be a new heaven and new earth. What is more, the eternal presence of God will dwell with humanity. In this way, the preacher turns his audience’s attention from focusing on this life and relying on themselves to attention on the promises and work of God.
