- Title:
- William H. Willimon - "Duty: Drudgery or Delight?" (October 5, 1986)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: (Part 1) 27:19. Sermon end time: (Part 2) 1:15.
Duty has many negative connotations in contemporary culture. Yet, in ancient times fulfillment of one’s duty is considered a virtue. The preacher argues that Christian duty is about focusing on the relationship between the servant and the Master. This sermon encourages its audience to serve a Master who died for us with great delight in the mission given to us. (Abstract created by Duke Divinity School staff.)
