- Title:
- William H. Willimon - "Suffered and Died" (March 23, 1997)
- Description:
-
Sermon start time: 00:12. Sermon end time: 21:24.
This sermon discusses different ways people adapt to deal with suffering in life. The preacher lays out Buddhist and Stoic thoughts, which attempt to reduce grief by distancing themselves from life’s pain. Conversely, the Christian story of Jesus is about a God who enters the suffering and pain of this world by the way of the cross, in order that God may know all humanity’s distress and redeem it.
