The preacher outlines a form of prayer with six parts: 1) adoration: you start by recognizing God's worthyness. 2) confession: having recognized God worthily, you withdraw from him awkwardly 3) thanksgiving: after withdrawing, you return to him gracefully. 4) intercession: pray for others 5) supplication: you pray for your yourself and your requests 6) dedication: you receive what God wants to give you, which is God's benediction (Abstract created by Duke Divinity School staff.)
