Therefore, let us read in our Holy Scripture | 9:20 | |
the tale of the loving purpose of God. | 9:25 | |
But first, let us pray for the needs of the whole world, | 9:28 | |
for peace on earth, goodwill among all His people, | 9:33 | |
for unity and brotherhood within the church | 9:39 | |
He came to build, and especially in our own community. | 9:41 | |
And because this would rejoice His heart, | 9:47 | |
let us remember in His name | 9:51 | |
the poor and helpless, the cold and hungry. | 9:53 | |
The oppressed, the sick, them that mourn. | 9:58 | |
The lonely and the unloved, | 10:02 | |
the aged and the little children, | 10:04 | |
all those who know not the Lord Jesus | 10:07 | |
or who love Him not, or who by sin have grieved His heart. | 10:11 | |
Lastly, let us remember before God | 10:17 | |
all those who rejoice with us, | 10:21 | |
but upon another shore and in a greater life, | 10:25 | |
that multitude which no man can number, | 10:29 | |
whose hope was in the Word Made Flesh, | 10:32 | |
and with Him, in the Lord Jesus, | 10:36 | |
we are one forevermore. | 10:40 | |

Almighty God, we pray for the peace of the whole world, | 10:59 | |
the salvation of all men. | 11:04 | |
Beseeching thee to enlighten the darkness of the earth | 11:07 | |
with the beams of that sun which shall no more go down. | 11:12 | |
We pray for Thy holy church, | 11:18 | |
praying thee to grant unto her that peace and unity | 11:22 | |
which are agreeable to Thy will. | 11:26 | |
Regard in Thy mercy the church of our fathers. | 11:30 | |
Grant that all her members may live in concord | 11:34 | |
and strive together to advance Thy kingdom. | 11:38 | |
Remember, O Lord, our beloved country. | 11:43 | |
Give us peace, prosperity, | 11:48 | |
but establish us in righteousness. | 11:52 | |
Remember, O Lord, at this season of joy, | 11:57 | |
all those who are in any kind of sorrow or distress, | 12:01 | |
in particular, any such known to ourselves, | 12:06 | |

Blessed Lord Jesus, | 12:22 | |

Accept the gifts of our hearts. | 12:29 | |
Inspire our lives with that love | 12:32 | |
which brought thee to dwell amongst us in low estate. | 12:35 | |
Help us to live ever in accordance with Thy mind | 12:41 | |
and Thy will, that Thy kingdom upon earth | 12:45 | |

Almighty God, we bless and praised Thy name, | 12:53 | |

and the Lord God shall give unto him | 28:09 | |

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled | 29:50 | |
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, | 29:54 | |

and they shall call his name Emmanuel, | 30:03 | |
which being interpreted is 'God with us.'" | 30:07 | |
Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, | 30:12 | |
did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, | 30:15 | |

till she had brought forth her firstborn son, | 30:23 | |

So then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, | 39:20 | |
enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. | 39:25 | |
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, | 39:31 | |
"Go and search diligently for the young child, | 39:36 | |
and when ye have found him, bring me word again, | 39:40 | |
that I may come and worship him also." | 39:45 | |
When they had heard the king, they departed; | 39:50 | |
and, lo, the star, which they saw from the East, | 39:55 | |
