not only the Christmas story, but the Easter story, | 42:09 | |
and all the days in between. | 42:16 | |
And we, again, rejoice. | 42:22 | |
But oh, God, we would not be truthful | 42:27 | |
if we did not lift up to thee this morning, | 42:30 | |
along with our joy and our happiness | 42:35 | |
and our sense of assurance. | 42:39 | |
This weary world that we live in | 42:44 | |
with all of its misery and aches and pains, | 42:48 | |
with its all of its anger | 42:55 | |
and hatred, | 42:58 | |
with all of its fighting and strife, | 43:01 | |
and we cry out from the depths of our soul, | 43:06 | |
that through us and through this church | 43:12 | |
and through thy church universal, | 43:15 | |
the prince of peace may come again through us. | 43:20 | |
And we pray this morning oh Lord, | 43:28 | |
that men might not only fight for peace, | 43:29 | |
but also learn to work for peace | 43:35 | |
and to sacrifice lovingly for peace. | 43:40 | |
And so God, our cry goes out this morning, | 43:47 | |
above all other cries, | 43:51 | |
for peace | 43:54 | |
and good will | 43:56 | |
among men. | 43:59 | |
We ask thee oh, Lord to be present with us this morning, | 44:03 | |
as we sing of our savior | 44:08 | |
and of thy love, | 44:12 | |
as we read those familiar words of the Christmas story. | 44:15 | |
As we all sing together, | 44:21 | |
may thy love and peace reign in our hearts this day, | 44:26 | |
and all the days ahead, | 44:32 | |
that we may raise our voices | 44:35 | |
continually enjoy, | 44:39 | |
telling the world that Christ | 44:41 | |
is indeed | 44:44 | |
Lord and savior | 44:46 | |

These two gentlemen have labored long | 45:56 | |
and sacrificially for this church through the years, | 45:59 | |
