Layout: Written in 2 columns of 27 lines.
Script: Written in small fine minuscule Greek book hand of the eleventh century. There are three scribes represented: Scribe I: fol. 37r-219v; Scribe II: fol. 1r-36r, 219; Scribe III: fol. 220-223.
Decoration: Decorated with small headpieces and initials in the style of Byzantine Court Art of the period. Many large capitals are in gold, as are the headings, with four large illuminated "carpet" panels in gold and colors; three panels of tracery ornament in gold against the plain surface of the parchment, and other slighter illuminated ornament.

Lectionary of the Four Gospels with Synaxarion and miscellaneous liturgical readings. Musical notations are complete for all text, written in red throughout.
Binding: Byzantine binding of red goatskin over thick wooden boards with a silver gilt covering on the upper cover, worked in repoussé from the rear, in part with dies, with various figures including the Crucifixion, and a long colophon on the paper leaves at the end recording that in 1590 the manuscript was the property of the Metropolitan Church of St. Stephen in the Province of Pisidia, Asia Minor. On the decorated plaque are four impressions of a Christos or God the Father figure, two of "saintly supporting figures" a single impression at top of a small "Christ in Majesty, " and a very large Crucifixion with supporting figures. The lower left corner of the plaque is missing, partly affecting one of the impressions of the "Christos, " and there are small losses at top and near the stud attachment. The plaque measures 245 x 160 mm.
