Dominique fè refleksyon sou siyifikasyon ke lit dekolonizasyon sa a genyen pou sityason politik an Ayiti aktyèlman.

  • Jean L. Dominique discusses and analyzes the Battle of Vertières, the decisive and final battle of the Haitian Revolution, in which the revolutionary army composed of former slaves defeated the French. In the aftermath of this November 18, 1803 battle, the French General Rochambeau surrendered to General Jean-Jacques Dessalines. Dominique reflects on the historical significance of this decolonization struggle as it relates to Haiti's current political situation.
